The Kamloops Wine Festival is back!

It has been a long, dry few years without a wine festival in our wonderful city of Kamloops. The wait is over, Kamloops can once again enjoy a grand wine tasting together! Kamloops Wine Festival returns June 1– 3, 2023 at Columbo Lodge.

After 15 years of creating this beloved local event, Judy Basso of Judy Basso Events is proud to be presenting the highly anticipated return of the city’s premiere wine event once again. Kamloops Wine Festival has been offering sensational wine experiences since 1998, making this year’s celebration the 25th Anniversary!

“I have always loved producing this event and am looking forward to presenting it once again, but with a few new twists this year,” says Basso.

The wine festival kicks off with a new, exclusive event, Cheese the Day, on Thursday June 1, 6:30pm at Colombo Lodge—presented by the Canadian Cheese Ambassador, David Beaudoin. Beaudoin will be presenting a lively and interactive session on pairing B.C./Canadian cheeses with amazing wines and food. This “other worldly experience” offers an opportunity to learn about a variety of cheeses while being entertained by a comedic and knowledgeable cheese connoisseur. Guests will be greeted with a glass of sparking wine while experiencing a raclette being heated and served with many delicious accompaniments, followed by an outstanding pairing of cheeses, accoutrements, and wines—creating a combination of flavours that will delight the palette. With additional charcuterie board tips and treats, this exciting event is a must for foodies and cheese lovers.  A limited number of tickets are available for $87.25*

On Saturday, June 3 from 7 to 9pm at Columbo Lodge, guests can experience the popular Grand Wine Tasting Party Featuring the hall full of wineries from all across British Columbia – including Fort Berens Winery, The View Winery, Larch Hills Winery, Privato Winery, Celista Winery and many more - sampling their wines, cider, and other complimentary products. Enjoy live entertainment and great food, all while trying the many wines available.  Tickets available for $75*. A group rate of $65* is available for bookings of 5 or more people—with group organizers being entering to win fabulous door prizes.

New this year, guest will be able to purchase their favourite wine at the event. As people discover their new favourite wines, they can mark then on an order form and then place their order at the Lansdowne Liquor Store booth right on site, with orders being available for pick up within a couple of weeks of the event.

The Grand Wine Tasting Party will be benefiting Western Canada Theatre, with a portion of the proceeds donated going toward WCT programs. “We are very proud and excited to be supporting the efforts of this outstanding organization. There is nothing like live theatre and we encourage the community to come out and enjoy this wonderful event while supporting local, live theatre,” says Basso.

Tickets are available through Kamloops Live! Box Office, online at, or by calling 250-374-5483.
